Flock addition

My husband and I had the idea to buy his parents a sheep for their anniversary. Of course, she would live with us but they could have visitation rights! We chose a little ewe lamb from Robin – one of her Blue-faced Leicester Jacob crosses.

Isn’t she pretty?!

While still at Robin’s, she had to learn a few things:

1) Wearing a halter

2. Walk on lead

3. Eat grain (this was not a problem, letting me know she would fit in well with our flock!)

With all this accomplished, Robin delivered her to our farm.

It took a day or so for Rocki to adjust to life in a different place. But, being a sheep, she soon figured out who to hang out with.

She has some very pretty wool that I am looking forward to spinning.

Welcome home, Rocki!
